Activities (by pictures)
The society carried out various activities in different fields since its establishment
1- Educational Field
A very important achievement in this field is building the kindergarten,
which aims at raising a new generation from a young age (1370 kids were
graduated until now). The society provided
all means of support to the kids in
need and secured their transportation. It conducted educational courses for
students in primary and secondary schools, educational courses for illiterates
that benefited more than 150 citizens, and computer courses that helped more
than 300 students of all ages. In addition to the courses for reciting and
memorizing the Holy Qur’an, which had been held annually through a celebration
organized by the society and the volunteers in the village, through which prizes
are distributed to all participants.
2- Cultural Field
The society has conducted some cultural seminars for the citizen which discuss
important topics like Human Rights, women, and democratic in order to give the
citizens better understanding of the educational and cultural level of other
communities. Also, the society has organized
political seminars through some
eligible organizations and societies, local and international. The society also
organizes the annual summer camps for all different cultural activities, and
there is an Islamic summer camp for one month in the society center
The schools teachers noticed that the educational level in the village had dropped extremely, which forced them to share their concerns and worries with the village officers in charge. So a meeting was held to get together all those who were concerned about the future of the village and the young, to discuss this significant problem. The reason behind such decline was identified as follow:
I. The curfew on roads from morning until evening time that had immobilized the whole crucial sectors.
II. The curfew between cities had caused so much inconvenience to students in universities, colleges, and institutes
III. The expected continuous curfew and the immobilization of life in the above two points have created so much emptiness in the students
IV. The difficult economic situation for some families as a result of the occupation had caused negative influences on their children.
V. The increase price of the individual lessons without fulfilling the real goal
After the discussion, it was agreed that the society would adopt the project of establishing a cultural center to resolve the problem. Based on this agreement, the society performed successful intensive contacts with all volunteers and collected some money which has helped to build and equip the center. However, the money was not sufficient and more was needed to complete the center, the society is still waiting for volunteers’ support and participation
The number of students who joined the center on the first stage is 300 students which is less than half the number of those who joined the village schools, which falls to the limited capacity of the center. The schools teachers of the center are voluntary teachers who are themselves graduates of this village or some good western friends whose main concern is the students’ interest and benefit.
The members of this center are of all ages and increasing continuously. The society has conducted free of charge courses to the students who are in need and those who are distinguished academically.
3- Health Field
The society used to have a medical clinic for four years. However, the clinic
was shut down due to the lack of financial support. It has been agreed and
coordinated with the Medical Aid Committee that the clinic could be opened once
a month to provide free of charge treatment for the inhabitants
including the
medication. This day was called the “ Free of Charge Medical Day” where so many
poor families depend on.
Also, the society conducted various health education courses for the women related to important areas like First Aid, Pregnancy, and Child Care
4- Humanitarian Relief Field
The society distributed more than 400 ton of food supply to the poor families and victims. This was achieved with the help from the charitable organizations in and out of country and the volunteers.
5- Occupational Field
The society provided housewives with vocational training such as sewing, beauty, and ceramic to help them support their families in their daily life. This helped more than 80 women.
